EVENT LOGISTICS
Business Plans |
Each team will get 3 hard copies of each business plan at the kickoff on Thursday as well as by email (after the kickoff). You are not allowed to make additional printed copies. You must turn in these 3 copies at the end of the competition and delete electronic copies. |
Resume Book |
You should have received an email today regarding a VCIC Finals shared folder on Dropbox. We will be compiling a resume book for the judges as a networking/recruiting opportunity should they be interested in speaking with you further after the competition. We ask that you send your resume in PDF format and name your file “School Name_Last Name.pdf”. |
Printing |
All teams will have access to ONE shared printer in one of the study rooms. |
Study Room |
Each team will have a designated study room from 6pm Thursday – 6pm Saturday. The building will be locked at 11:30pm (from the outside) and will reopen at 8:00am. |
Parking |
Thursday: After 4pm, free parking is available in the main business deck
Friday: Parking is available in the Visitors Lot (pass dist. at kickoff)

Flights:
Fly into RDU, Raleigh/Durham International. Your flight should land before 5PM
Thursday evening to get to the Team Kick-Off at 6PM.
Land earlier if you want to check into the hotel first. We
highly recommend that you depart Sunday to give yourself
time to network with the world's top VC-minded MBA
students, but you may
fly out Saturday night no earlier than 7PM.
Ground
Transportation:
You can rent an economy car for about
$100 Thurs-Sun. A full-size is closer to $150,
minivan $250. Cabs to/from RDU are about $40 each way.
Hotels often have shuttles in town (not to RDU) to get
you to UNC and back.
We generally recommend that you rent a car.
Hotel: There are many hotels and motels near UNC. We have found that most are fine and that you can often get a better price than we can. That said, we have block prices on the hotels listed below. Click here for more hotel options near UNC: Orbitz, Kayak, Google Maps.
Weather:
The average high
temperature in April is 71 degrees. Our buildings tend
to be chilly – bring a sweater or jacket.
Dress: Business casual attire. Dress like a VC.
