Changes for Contestants in 2008

  • On-site events occur on Friday

  • Teams receive business plans by email Wed 5pm

  • Only the top team (1) at each event advances to finals

  • Half of competing teams will win prize money

    • Regions: 1st $1,500, 2nd $1,000, EC $500

    • Finals: 1st $5,000, 2nd $3,000, 3rd $1,000, EC $1,000

  • No more "wild card" events

  • New deliverables templates provided (Doc, PPT)

  • Wednesday 5:00 p.m. -- receive business plans by email

  • Thursday evening -- recommended hotel check-in for traveling teams

  • Friday

    8:00  Team registration

    9:00  Entrepreneur pitches

    10:00  Due diligence sessions (15 minutes each)

    12:00  Working lunch / decisions

    1:00  Written deliverables

    2:00  PPT due

    3:00  Pitch to VCs

    4:30  VC Round Robin (feedback)

    5:30  Networking event
